What Nearkats knows about you

Effective 9 September 2026. Nearkats is the official $NEARKAT game, published by Nearkats. This page says exactly what the app collects and why.

Playing without an account

You can play the whole solo game without signing in. Your save lives on your phone. The app fetches game configuration (rain events, remote switches, the Kat-dex facts) from our server without sending anything that identifies you, other than a random device identifier used to deliver notifications you opted into.

The TestFlight list on this website

If you sign up for the TestFlight on nearkatmobmining.com we store the email address you give us (the one on your Apple ID, so Apple can deliver the invite) and, if you add it, your X handle. We use the email only to send TestFlight invites through Apple, never for marketing, and we delete the list after the public launch. To be removed sooner, email support@nearkatmobmining.com.

If you sign in with Apple

Signing in is optional and only needed for social features: mobs, leaderboards, cloud save and invites. Sign in with Apple gives us a stable anonymous user ID. We ask you for a display name and, optionally, an X handle. We store those, your game save, your mob membership and your leaderboard scores against that ID. We do not receive your Apple password, and if you choose Hide My Email we never see your real address.

What we never collect

No wallet connections, signatures or private keys. The app cannot move any asset.
No contacts, location, photos, microphone or camera.
No advertising identifiers. There are no ads and no in-app purchases.

Notifications

If you allow them, we store your device's push token to tell you when a rain storm is coming. Turn them off any time in iOS Settings; we delete tokens Apple reports as invalid.

Analytics

We use TelemetryDeck, a privacy-first analytics service, to count things like sessions and which screens are used. It receives a salted, hashed identifier and no personal data.

Deleting your account

Settings → Profile → Delete account removes your profile, save, mob membership, scores and push tokens from our servers immediately, and revokes the Sign in with Apple grant.

Children

Nearkats is not directed at children under 13, and social features require an account rated for 12+.
